Liverpool Ramblers Association
This is a well established club that organises a weekly coach excursion to destinations in Wales, Derbyshire, Yorkshire and the Lake District. There are usually three led walks each week. There’s a Clubroom on Thursday evening from 7:30 p.m at the new Quakers’ Meeting House, School Lane, Liverpool 1 next to Bluecoat Chambers.
You may book on two excursions without needing to be a member of the RA but, after that, you are expected to join the national Ramblers Association if you want to carry on booking.
In addition, from March to November, Public Excursions are organised which may be booked irrespective of whether or not you are a member of the national RA. Details of the current Public Excursion programme can be seen here.
The Queensway Fellwalking and Rambling Society
This club organises a walk on the second weekend in each month alternating between Saturdays and Sundays. Thee are coach pick-up points between Ormskirk and Bromborough along the A59. There are usually three led walks and the places visited include Lake District, Yorkshire, Lancashire,Derbyshire, Cheshire, Wales - anywhere within a 100 miles of Liverpool.
